Wynona Watson

Funeral for Wynona Davis Watson, 87, formerly of Manitou, Oklahoma will be 2 pm Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Vinson Orr, officiating.

Mrs. Watson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Duncan, Oklahoma.

Burial will be at Tipton Cemetery.

Wynona was born on June 19, 1933, in Ada, Oklahoma to Bishop Marvin Davis and Vergie Ann Doshier Davis.  She attended school in Manitou.  She married J.K. Watson in Manitou in the First Baptist Parsonage in 1961.  Wynona was a wife and mother for many years before she began working at Frybrants in Frederick and she received her LPN certificate in 1976.  She worked for DHS as an LPN and served many families in the Manitou and Frederick areas.  She also worked as a private duty nurse in Marlow and Ratliff City.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manitou.

She is survived by son, Kenneth Watson (Sharla) of Frederick, OK, two daughters, Melinda Willmon of Marlow, OK and Rebekah Dowdy (Richard) of Garland, TX: grandchildren, Brandon Willmon (Abby) of Yukon, OK, Josh Dowdy of Plano, TX, Brett Willmon (Katelyn) of Marlow, OK; Lauren Dowdy of Dallas, TX, Dillon Watson (Haley) of Ft. Worth, TX, Amber Watson Derosa (Jessie) of Snyder, OK; nine great grandchildren, Cutter, Daxton, Paislee, Greyson, Onyx, Luke, Eli, Waylon, and Wyatt ;one brother, Floyd Davis (Donna) of Midwest City, OK; she also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bishop Marvin Davis and Virgie Ann Doshier; five siblings, E. L. Davis, Odella Davis, Marcella Coplen, William Everett Davis, and Cora Jane Davis; and her Twin Sister, Leona Davis.
