Wilhelmina Elizabeth Maria Ensing

Wilhelmina Elizabeth Maria Ensing, a longtime resident of Frederick died peacefully after a sudden illness October 13, 2020 in Wolvega Netherlands. 

Wilhelmina was born April 14, 1947 to Rudolf and Anna Molenboer Ensing in Blankenham, Netherlands.  She completed her education in 1965.  She married her husband Jan Vonk in early 1966 and together they took over the family dairy farm.  She became a 3^rd generation dairy farmer who passed the love of dairy to her daughter Anita.

Wilhelmina moved to Oklahoma in 2002 to be near her daughter and her family.  She became well known in this area for her love of sewing and quilting.  She was seen at many farmers markets, cotton festivals, and art shows selling her aprons and other wares.  She had a love of bicycling, ice skating, and making friends wherever she went. In 2019, Wilhelmina moved back to the Netherlands to spend her retirement years near her siblings.

Wilhelmina is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Anita & Pieter Van der Laan of Frederick; three grandchildren: Eric & Melanie Van der Laan, Wilma & Adam McKay, and Liza Van der Laan; and two great grand children Ava Van der Laan and James McKay all of Frederick.  She is also survived by one brother: Jos & Anneke Ensing; four sisters Rina Van der Vegt, Betty & Arnold Vuist, Lies & Jochem Van der Akker, Lida & Albert Timmerman. Her brother and sisters are all in the Netherlands.  She is also survived by many good friends both in Frederick and in the Netherlands.

She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, an infant brother, and brother-in-law Johan Van der Vegt.
