Steve Wolfe

Funeral service for Steve Dwayne Wolfe, age 64, of Tipton, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Rick Bibbs officiating.

Steve passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at his home in Tipton.

Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish & Tipton Funeral Homes.

A private family visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

He was born May 17, 1958, at Clinton, Oklahoma, to Balam and Virgie Pauline (Looney) Wolfe. He grew up in Tipton and attended Tipton schools. He worked in the oil field and enjoyed carpentry, but spent most of his working life ginning cotton. He helped build and manage gins in both Oklahoma and Kansas.  At the time of his death, he was working as the Gin Superintendent at Humphreys COOP. When he was not working, Steve loved hunting, fishing and motorcycles. He enjoyed shooting pool and would often play in tournaments.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Lester, Jody, and Don Wolfe.

Steve and Debra had one son: Kevin Wolfe of Lawton; also surviving: two sisters: Mary Lee Russell and Charlotte Wolfe, both of Tipton; and five grandchildren: Kyla Witt, Kaelyn Wolfe, Kamry Wolfe, Paris Spraggins, and Kinley Wolfe.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, Oklahoma Chapter, Department 2845, Tulsa, OK 74182, or the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Steve Wolfe.
