Rosa Martinez

Funeral service for Rosa Martinez, age 71, of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of Frederick, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Janurary 9, 2023, at Orr Gray Gish Chapel.

Mrs. Martinez passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Memorial Nursing Center, in Frederick. Rosary and visitation will be at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.

She was born June 11, 1951, Yakima, Washington, to Pablo and Josefina (Gamez) Reyes. She met Rudy Martinez in 1975, and they married and were together for 47 years. She loved her family and especially her grandkids. She enjoyed camping. She was a huge fan of crime investigation shows. She considered herself to be a private investigator as she watched shows on Lifetime such as CSI, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, and others. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son: Paul Nuncio.

Survivors include her husband: Rudy Martinez, of the home; three sons: Joe Nuncio Jr. (Aracely), San Antonio, Texas, Mark “Mexican” Martinez (Erica), of Lawton, James “Honky” Martinez (Stephania), also of Lawton; a daughter: Cynthia Curts (Ray), of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother: Joe Reyes (Maricel), of Saginaw, Texas; two sisters: Linda Vidal (Jesse), also of Saginaw, Texas, and Mary Hutton (Robbie), of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren: Celia, Marissa, Raven, Jennifer, Lorenzo, Dominic, Mario, Erica, Ethan, Courtney, James, Michelle, Anthony, Tessa, Brandon, Mia, Jesse and Marcus; and several great grandkids.
