Memorial service for Robert Lewis “Taco” Coronado, age 64, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel. Robert passed away on May 17, 2026, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
He was born on January 13, 1962, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Sam and Lois Coronado. Robert graduated from Frederick High School with the Class of 1980. He worked for Steve Mattoon and Mark McPhail through the years and was known for his strong work ethic and loyalty.
He is survived by his siblings: Delores (Harry), Debbie, Randy, Darla (Monty), Roger, and Chris, all of Ardmore; and by numerous nieces and nephews: Amanda, Kyle, Sloan, Mercedes, Garrett, Marko, Samara, Ryan, Aaliyah, Aria, Avah, Nevaeh, Mya, Oshay, Terrell, Lennox, Khalyl, Mason, Bryce, Harper, Brooklyn, Baylee, Starr, Ke’sunn, Bree, and Blake.
He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Mary Leyja, Terresa (Santos) Perez, Johnny (Wallie) Flores, Mary Ann Ramirez, and Raymond Coronado, along with many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Lois Coronado; his brother: Ronnie Coronado; his maternal grandparents: Jessie V. and Tina Flores; and his paternal grandparents: Gabino and Lupe Coronado.
Robert loved watching Hallmark movies because he always loved the happy endings. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and OU Sooners. More than anything, he loved his family. He had a unique sense of humor that could make people smile and laugh in his own special way.
Most importantly, Robert was a believer in Christ. He knew his Savior and carried that faith in his heart.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In honor of "Taco", the family encourages guests attending the memorial service to wear OU Sooners or Dallas Cowboys attire.
