Loyd Duncan, age 77, of Chattanooga (formerly of Davidson) passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He was born December 29, 1946, in Verden, Oklahoma, to William Carl “W. C.” and Minerva Rosabell (McDaniel) Duncan. He grew up in Snyder. Through the years, Loyd had lived in Blair before moving to Davidson in 2010, and most recently, Chattanooga. His hobby was playing the guitar and singing. He took care of his brother Lynn until his passing in 2020. He was a longtime farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: John Duncan, Carl Lee Duncan, Lonnie Duncan, Jerry Duncan, Dee Duncan, Charles Duncan, Lynn Duncan, and an infant Robert Richie Duncan; and three sisters: Ruth Lemmond, Sue Penny, and Rose Smith.
Survivors include a son: Carl Wayne Franklin; a daughter: Rebecca Jean Franklin, both of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers: Tommie Duncan, of Tipton, and Jessie Duncan, of Ravia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
