Lorenzo C Fraire

Funeral mass for Lorenzo Fraire, age 89, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Saint Helen Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph David, pastor, officiating.

Rosary and visitation will be held 7:00 p..m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Fraire passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Wichita Falls, Texas. Christian burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.

He was born August 10, 1934, in Vicente Guerro, Durango, Mexico, to Cispriano Fraire and Bernadina Canales. He was united in marriage to Juana Serrano in 1954, at Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico. They came to the United States, Frederick, in 1972. He was a farmer for the Gottschall and Kinder farms. He had a strong work ethic and worked hard every day except Sunday. He was blessed and was able to work right up until his illness, just before his death. He farmed until he could not farm anymore. He was a kind and just friend to everyone he met. He was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Ramona Rueda.

He is survived by his wife: Juana Serrano Fraire, of the home in Frederick; one son: Biviano Fraire and wife Magdalena, of Frederick; one daughter: Barnarda Ruerda and husband Fabian, of Vernon, Texas; siblings: Sofia Rueda, Maricela Rueda, Andy Rueda, Nancy Rueda, Brycen Gamez, Carlos Fraire and Isabelle Fraire; grandkids: Maria Rueda, Juana and Crisoforo Gonzalez, Cindy and Fernando Luna, and Irene Rueda; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
