Kerry E. Dalrymple

Kerry E. Dalrymple, age 77, passed away at his home in Altus, Oklahoma, on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

He was born September 29, 1948, in Marion, Indiana, to Gene and Judy (Worline) Dalrymple. Kerry attended school in Van Buren, Indiana, and graduated from Eastbrook High School with the Class of 1966. He later attended Purdue University. Kerry married Darlene Stanley in 1967 in Marion, Indiana. He worked alongside his father in the family custom home construction business before beginning a career in tax preparation as owner and operator of Dalrymple Tax Service, Inc. In 1982 he was united in marriage to Nancy Carol Hickerson in Vernon, Texas. Kerry later became a rural letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2010 with more than 33 years of service. He was a member of the Indiana Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, where he served as a District Committeeman and District State Steward. He was also a member of Quail Unlimited and proudly served his community as a licensed EMT.

Kerry loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He and Nancy enjoyed traveling together and made many wonderful memories visiting places including Hawaii, the Bahamas, Ireland, Paris, and Munich. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling. He also loved bird hunting with his English Setter dogs, golfing, and gardening where he grew vegetables and cultivated fruit trees.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Dalrymple, of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; a daughter, Keri Elaine Rennaker and husband Jeff of Swayzee, Indiana; a son, Warren Dalrymple and wife Melissa of Michigan; a brother, Paul Dalrymple and wife Maureen of Swayzee, Indiana; a sister, Dea Wright and husband Mike of Swayzee, Indiana; ten grandchildren: Joshua and Courtney Rennaker, Danny, Kathy, Keith, David, Ashlee, Ariel, Brianna Dalrymple, and Jusdin Claghorn; and seventeen great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
