Karel Walker

            Funeral service for Karel Diane Walker, age 70, of Davidson, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Dr. Shane Kendrix, pastor of First Baptist Church of Frederick officiating. In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, consideration of others and practice of social distancing will be utilized.

            Mrs. Walker passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the United Regional Hospital of Wichita Falls, Texas. Burial will be in the Davidson Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

            She was born March 3, 1950, in Vernon, Texas, to Bob Tucker, Jr. and Velma “Joyce” (Hurford) Tucker. Karel attended Davidson schools. She was a “Sandie” and graduated from Davidson High School with the Class of 1968. She was united in marriage to Roy Dale Walker on April 11, 1970, at the Davidson Methodist Church, the church her dad helped build and where she was previously baptized as a young girl. She worked in various factories of clothing and leather goods manufacturing.  She was the Director of Voting at the Davidson Election Site for over 20 years. Karel enjoyed her house work as well as yard work, including gardening and flowers. She loved to spend time online on her computer and established friendships with numerous people including several foreign countries.

            She was preceded in death by her father: Bob Tucker, Jr. on January 20, 2002; her mother: Joyce Tucker, on January 4, 2013; and a son: Anthony Walker, on June 18, 2002.

            Survivors include her husband: Roy Walker, of the home in Davidson; son: JoDavid Walker, of Davison; two sisters: Karen Dickerson and husband Larry, of Burkburnett, Texas, and Kathy Rozzell and husband Gary, of Mineral Wells, Texas; grandson: Callef Walker; nephew: Gary Len Rozzell and wife Sarah; niece: Karen Amanda Fox and husband Ronnie; and several great nieces and nephews.
