Julia Marie Easter

            Funeral service for Julia M. Easter, age 67, of Hollister, Oklahoma, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel.

            Mrs. Easter passed away at her home Monday, September 30, 2019.

            She was born January 15, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Francis and Vivian (Cook) Prenot. She grew up in Ohio and in 1979, moved to Mangum, Oklahoma, with her family. She worked for an embroidery business in Mangum. She was united in marriage to Ken Easter on April 30, 2011, at Quartz Mountain State Park and Lake Lugert. Judy, as she was known by family and friends, had a great love for her dogs. She was an accomplished horse woman and barrel racer. She enjoyed going on motorcycle rides and she loved to pick up rocks from anywhere she went and tote them home.

            Survivors include her husband: Ken, of the home in Hollister; children: Vivian Hunt and husband Rusty, J. P. Prenot and wife Cherri, Chris Collins and wife Krystal, Jackie Payne, and Jamie Easter; one sister: Brenda Smith and husband Joe; one brother: Butch Prenot and wife Shirley; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Patrice M. McQueary and a sister: Bonnie Ray.
