A celebration of life memorial service for Donna "Jeanne" (Bandy) McCormack, age 81, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church (301 E. Grand Avenue), with Pastor Bo Ireland officiating.
After a brief illness, she peacefully passed from this life on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Altus, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of her family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.
She was born July 2, 1944, in West Plains, Missouri, to George and Wilma (Ingalsbe) Bandy. She was the third child of eight, and raised in the small community of White Church, Missouri. She graduated from Mt. View High School with the Class of 1962.
In the fall of 1962, she moved with her family to Altus, Oklahoma, where she met her future husband Keith McCormack. They were united in marriage in the spring of 1963. To this union they had three sons: Geary, Richard, and Chris.
Jeanne, devoted, her life to her family as wife, mother, and grandmother. Her warmth and compassion made her home the perfect place for family meals and gatherings. She had a green thumb and loved gardening. She cultivated and grew plants and loved to share them with others. Jeanne will be remembered for her generous sprit and a loving heart. She will live on in the countless lives she has touched and the memories her family and friends will carry forever.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents: George and Wilma Bandy; and sisters: Patricia, Beverly, and Mary.
Jeanne is survived by her husband: Keith McCormack; her sons and their spouses: Geary and Janice McCormack, Rich and Jennifer McCormack, and Chris and Kassy McCormack; her siblings: Margaret Gobel, Linda Fraizer, Brenda Stevens, and Alan Bandy; six grandchildren: Jeremy Goode, Jerrad Goode and girlfriend Cassidy Adams, Jordan Morrison and husband Jerry, Chelsie Dickson and husband Jordan, Chad Mitchell and wife Robin, and Ryan McCormack; and great- grandchildren: Reed Goode, Abigail and Bailey Mitchell, Tatum and Dawson Dickson; as well as a host friends and extended family.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to First United Methodist Church, 301 E. Grand Avenue, Frederick, OK 73542, in loving memory of Jeanne McCormack.
