Esvanilla Dorothy Jean Gildon Cramer, age 72, of Frederick, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2026. She was born on July 24, 1953, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and unwavering strength. Her presence was a steady source of comfort, and she touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, openness and generosity.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Mae Stanford; six siblings; five grandchildren; and a host of other beloved family members who welcomed her home.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 55 years, Mr. Willie L. Cramer, Sr.; her children: Niquita Cramer, Charmin Cramer Clayborn (Edward Fuller), Treva Whitney, and Willie L. Cramer, Jr. (LoQuisha Robinson); 19 grandchildren, 31 great‑grandchildren, and 1 great‑great‑grandchild. She also leaves behind her father, Mr. John Stanford. Jr., brothers: Rex Gildon (Jenny Gildon), Kopelyn Stanford, sisters: Melva Gildon, Gayla Stanford (Joe Vasquez), and extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Esvanilla was the second eldest of 10, and from an early age she lovingly assisted with raising her brothers and sisters. She proudly considered herself “her mothers’ helper,” a role she cherished. In time, her dedication and drive shone in her own achievements as well—she graduated with honors from Altus High School. She also continued her education at Oklahoma State University and later earned a Culinary Arts degree from Platt College. Known to many as “Dot”, she joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and maintained a quiet, personal relationship with the Lord. She created a loving home filled with warmth, laughter, and compassion.
In addition, she was a talented cook, seamstress, designer, and homemaker whose gifts blessed everyone around her. She also took to the open road as a long‑haul truck driver, meeting each mile with perseverance and pride. And while her spirit was gentle, her vibrant and vocal personality certainly made itself known when she shared her honest opinion—with no apologies. Indeed, she was the largest presence everywhere, and she believed in showing up for the people she loved. She leaves her legacy of love, loyalty, strength, and family while leaving precious moments of her presence.
Burial: Military honors in recognition of the dedicated service of her husband, Mr. Willie L. Cramer, Sr., will take place at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026.
