David Lee

December 17, 1947 — January 7, 2024

David Lee passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday evening, January 7, 2024. There will be a small service for family and friends in The Burkhardt Chapel of the Frederick Memorial Cemetery in Frederick Oklahoma on Friday, January 12th at 2:00 pm. He was born and raised in Frederick, Oklahoma. When he graduated high school, he moved to Norman, Oklahoma to pursue a master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering at The University of Oklahoma. From there he went to work for Texaco Refining Company in Nederland, Texas. He moved back to Norman for a brief time where he met his wife Barbara Brannon. They were married in San Antonio, Texas in 1986. He finally decided to take a risk and develop his own consulting firm with a fellow Metallurgist. That brought him to San Antonio, Texas, where he and his wife resided for the past 42 years.

In his early years he loved fishing, boating, rock-hounding and wilderness hiking. Later running became his passion. It was his goal to win first place in his age division at the local Diploma Run, which he finally achieved 10 months prior to his death. He worked very hard at building a reputable Metallurgical Consulting Firm that he could be proud of. Retirement did not come easy to him as he continued his consulting work right up to his death.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Michal Lee-Trevino with her husband Matthew Trevino and son Samuel, his brother Rodney with his wife Lesa Lee and their blended family of 6 children and their extended families, his sister-in-law Susan Lee with one of two daughters and their extended families. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Judson and Lois Lucille Lee, brother Arlin Lee and his brother’s daughter Susan (Sissie) Lee.

It took him several years to resolve the issue of his spiritual beliefs, but he finally committed to his belief in God and savior Jesus Christ. He now resides in Heaven with The Heavenly Father.

He requested that anyone interest should give in his memory to either of the two charities he held most dear. One is the Bible Broadcasting Network (BBN). He started his day every day listening to Christian music and pastors broadcast on this network. The other is the Bible League. He felt like they are an organization that is devoted to putting Bibles in the hands of everyone in every language so that they can have the opportunity to read and decide for themselves about their spiritual life and life everlasting.
