Antonio Gutierrez

           Antonio Gutierrez, age 83, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was born May 10, 1937, in Victoria, Texas, to Manuel and Eulalia (Delacruz) Gutierrez. He has spent most all his life in Victoria, Texas, and Frederick, Oklahoma. In 1955, he was united in marriage to Pauline “Paula” Deleon in Victoria, Texas. Antonio worked for Century Granite in Frederick and also Dietz Monument Company until it closed, and then for Phipps Memorial, in Waco, until his retirement in 2011. He was outstanding in his field as a monument polisher. He returned to Frederick in 2012.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Virginia Gutierrez; three sons: Tommy Ray Gutierrez, Adolpho Gutierrez and Antonio “Tony” Gutierrez Jr.; two brothers: Jessie Gutierrez and Santiago Gutierrez; and a sister: Mary Helen Gonzales; his beloved granddaughter: Lori Gutierrez-Johnson; and great grandchildren: Robert Johnson Jr., and Cinnamon Johnson.

            Survivors include three sons: Israel Gutierrez, Wichita Falls, Texas, Steven Gutierrez, also of Wichita Falls, and Aton Abril, of San Jose, California; two daughters: Lueisa Gutierrez and Mary Alice Gutierrez, both of Waco, Texas; two sisters: Aurora Gutierrez, of Frederick, and Eulalia Garza, of Fort Worth, Texas; numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
