Anselmo Vicente "Barney" Gutierrez

Funeral service for Anselmo Vicente “Barney” Gutierrez, age 39, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Pastor Michael Logan officiating. Mr. Gutierrez passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born September 10, 1986, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Antonio Gutierrez, Jr. and Rebecca Sue Nuncio. He is the third in a family of four boys. He enjoyed playing football and baseball, loved the outdoors and cooking with his family. He was the life of the party. He always enjoyed being the center of attention, making sure everyone around him knew who he was. He had a heart of gold making sure everyone around him was well loved, respected and spoiled all the kids that he could. He had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that would brighten any room.

Anselmo was preceded in death by his father: Antonio Gutierrez, Jr.; paternal grandparents: Antonio Gutierrez and Pauline Deleon; maternal grandparents: Santos Nuncio and Amelia Nuncio; aunts and uncles: Danny Nuncio, Adolfo Gutierrez, Viviano Nuncio, Sr., Tommy Gutierrez, Selzo Nuncio, Virgie Gutierrez (Pena), Anselmo Nuncio and Louisa Gutierrez.

He is survived by his mother: Rebecca Sue Nuncio; one son: Anselmo Vicente Gutierrez, Jr.; one daughter: Estrella Ontiveros; three brothers: Gilbert Nuncio and Jenna, Paul “Fred” Gutierrez and Andrea Aguilar, and David Ray Gutierrez; three nieces: Crosby, Kimber and Adrianna; one nephew, Kelton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Barney’s cousins, whom he loved like sisters: Montanna, Karissa, Kelsey, Victoria, and Virginia.
