She was born November 23, 1951, in Stanton, Texas to Luis and Lorenza (Carnero) Martinez. She grew up in Midland, Texas, and later moved to Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Juan Rocha in 1978, in Vernon, Texas celebrating 44 years this year. Anita worked at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Care Center as well as working as a housekeeper in numerous homes in Frederick. She enjoyed shopping, playing Bingo going to the casino, and most of all being a grandmother.
Anita was always a straight shooter and would tell you like it was. She was also the person people sot out for help, and she may have had a few questions upon that request, but she always helped in any way possible. She is loved and forever will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband: Juan Rocha, of the home in Frederick; two sons: Manuel Chapa (Shannon), of Frederick, and Agopito Chapa Jr., also of Frederick; two daughters: Linda Riojas and Tracy Blas, both of Fort Worth, Texas; 16 grandchildren Kaye Gonzalez, Shay Chapa, Nathaniel Hanes, Cody Chapa, Sajoir Riojas, Sara Chapa, Sabrina Lopez, Zoe Riojas, Charlie Chapa, Tabitha King, AJ Chapa, Kaliyah King, Damian Chapa, Isaly Blas, Kaori Blas, and Naonii Blas; two brothers: Luis Martinez Jr., Hammsville, and Jimmy Martinez, of Elk City; six sisters: Carmen Munoz, Wichita Falls, Texas, Clara Garza, Burkburnett, Texas, Librada Martinez, Fort Worth, Joann Alvarado, Burns Flat, Martha Delay, Burkburnett, and Margaret Martinez, of Frederick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Angel Leyja, Arthur Martinez, Luisa Martinez, Mary Lou Badillo, and Juanita Martinez; a nephew: Luis Filbano Torres; and a grandson: Cody Chapa.
