Bob Lovelady Funeral service for Bobby Paul "Bob" Lovelady, age 75, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Suiter, Tipton Church of Christ minister, officiating. Mr. Lovelady passed away Monday, April 14, 2008, at the Lawton Fort Sill Veterans Center, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Burial with full military Air Force honors was in the Davidson Cemetery, Davidson, Oklahoma, under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma Bobby Paul Lovelady was born on September 6, 1932, in Davidson, Oklahoma, to Joseph and Pauline (Tidwell) Lovelady. He attended school in Davidson, Oklahoma. He entered the United States Navy on October 23, 1952. He served on a ship in the Korean War and received a Good Conduct Medal, a United Nation Service Medal and Korean Service Medal. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on September 6, 1956. Also in 1956, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served one tour of Vietnam and was awarded numerous citations and commendations for his honorable service. During his military service, he was stationed all over the United States, but served an extended period in Alaska. In 1974, he retired from the United States Air Force, as a Tech Sergeant. Upon his retirement, he lived in Hobart, Oklahoma. He married Dorothy "Dee" Bevers on November 1985, in San Antonio, Texas. They lived in San Antonio, Texas, and then moved to Frederick, Oklahoma, in 1989. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Frederick Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Foye Lovelady, three sisters: Vera, Hazel and Beulah; and his wife, Dorothy "Dee", on April 28, 2006. He is survived by his children from his first wife Karen Hoven; a son: Steven Lovelady and wife Phyllis, of Kingsbury, Texas; and a daughter: Robin Heeren and husband Alan, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a sister: Loraine Hunter, of Hobart, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Trevor & Ricky Lovelady, Frank Molesky and Teresa Thie and two great grandchildren: Eden & Caden Thie.
