Craig Spencer Ridings Graveside service for Craig Spencer Ridings, age 50, of Lakewood, Colorado, was at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, with Rev. Charles Graves, pastor, First United Methodist Church, Frederick, Oklahoma, officiating. A reception was at the Gray Gish Event Center, 126 N. Main, Frederick, Oklahoma, immediately following the burial. Craig S. Ridings left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in Lakewood, Colorado. Burial will be under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma. Craig Spencer Ridings was born on August 12, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to Carol and Frances (Roberts) Ridings. Upon graduation from McArthur High School in 1975, he attended Stephen F. Austin University. He soon began a well traveled career with AMF Tube-scope when he meet Charlene Ruth Howard. They were married on August 17, 1985 and moved to Colorado to joint venture a rental car agency for the Eagle Vail Valley. His unique entrepreneurial spirit led him to a rare opportunity in the Casino business in Blackhawk, Colorado, where despite his struggle with Multiple Sclerosis, he was a managing member until the sale of the property. Craig had many great accomplishments in his life, but felt that his greatest was his family. Craig was a loved and active member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a man that loved wholly, gave generously and could smile in the face of adversity. His smile will live on in our hearts. He was preceded in death by a brother: Jeff Ridings. He is survived by his wife, Charlene of 22 years; two sons: Charlton Glen Ridings and Christian Wade Ridings, of Lakewood, Colorado; granddaughter: Kyla Dean Ridings; parents: Carol and Frances Ridings, of Frederick, Oklahoma; a brother: Russ Ridings, of Flowermound, Texas, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
