Gertrude McIninch Freeland Funeral service for Gertrude McIninch Freeland, age 86, formerly of Frederick, was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Morey, associate pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Frederick, officiating. Mrs. Freeland passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at an Oklahoma City nursing care center. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery, Frederick, Oklahoma, under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home. She was born October 13, 1921, at Atoka, Oklahoma, to Alex and Neta (Draper) Capps. She attended Atoka Schools. She was united in marriage to Joe R. McIninch on January 15, 1942, in Atoka. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1976. They moved to Tillman County from Atoka in 1949. She worked as a seamstress for Betsy Bra ? Kellwood and as a salesperson at Spinning Wheel. She married Albert Freeland, on September 28, 2002. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2007. She was an active member of Bible Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Joe McIninch and Albert Freeland; and two brothers: Lloyd Capps and Clifford Capps; sister: Maudie Boysen and a great granddaughter: Allysun Lambert. Survivors include six sons: Joe McIninch, Oklahoma City; Carl W. McIninch, Oklahoma City; James B. McIninch, Moore; Larry Thomas McIninch, Mangum; Gary L. McIninch, Oklahoma City and David M. McIninch, Hydro; five daughters: Maxene Conditt, Frederick; Shirley Hughes, Oklahoma City; Ruth Lambert, Yukon; Linda Roberts, Roosevelt, and Gail Wynn, of Irving, Texas; a brother: Gene Capps, of Atoka; 24 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
