Irene "Sis" Elmore Funeral service for Glenda Irene "Sis" (Harris) Elmore, age 83, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with David Ridenour, Frederick Church of Christ (13th & Josephine), officiating. Mrs. Elmore passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Frederick. Graveside service was at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Lebanon Cemetery in Lebanon, Oklahoma. Burial was under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma. She was born on September 22, 1924, at Enville, Oklahoma, to Alvis Madison and Hattie Rudine (Watson) Harris. She attended school at Enville and graduated from Marietta High School in 1941. She married Orville Frank Elmore on March 20, 1942, in Madill, Oklahoma. In 1946, they moved to Davidson, Oklahoma, where she was a homemaker and often times worked along side her husband in the fields. She was a member of the Busy Bees Club at Davidson. In 1968, she and her husband moved to Frederick, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Frederick Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Elmore on October 31, 2006; two sons: Ronnie and Frank Elmore; and a brother: Billy Harris. She is survived by a son: Randy Elmore and wife Sheila, of Oakland, Oklahoma; one daughter: Linda Payne and husband Val Lozano, of Frederick, Oklahoma; two daughters-in law: Norma Jean Elmore of Frederick, Oklahoma, Caroline Elmore, Eastland, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
