Phyllis Dale Cryer Graveside service for Phyllis Dale Cryer, age 62, of Petrolia, Texas, former Tipton, Oklahoma resident, was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Tipton Municipal Cemetery, Tipton, Oklahoma, with Rev. R. T. Perry, Tipton First United Methodist Church minister, officiating. Phyllis Dale passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008, at the Hospice of Wichita Falls, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Burial was under the direction of Tipton Funeral Home, Tipton, Oklahoma. She was born July 3, 1945, in Tipton, Oklahoma, to Frank and Ruby (Adams) Cryer. She attended Laing and Tipton schools. She married Tommy Rogers in 1963, at Altus, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She lived in Lawton and Oklahoma City, before moving to Petrolia to be near family in 2005. She was a homemaker and she worked as a seamstress. Her passions were cooking/baking and sewing. She loved to take care of people, especially her family. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Ruth Powell. Survivors include her daughter: Cathy Brady and husband Moose, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers: Frank "Buddy" Cryer and wife Nadine, of Mt. Park, Oklahoma, and Rickey Cryer, of Petrolia, Texas; four sisters: Wanda Crownover and husband Clarence, Tuttle, Oklahoma, Colleen Hill and husband John, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jennie Powell and husband Alan, of Alaska, and Bobbie Stevenson and husband Jimmy, of Tipton, Oklahoma; two grandchildren: James Aaron Brady and Justin Brady; three great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
