Frieda Pope Graveside service for Frieda Marie (Wilson) Pope, age 81, of Pahrump, Nevada, formerly of Davidson, Oklahoma, was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the Davidson Cemetery, Davidson, Oklahoma with Rev. Eddie Whitworth, officiating. Ms. Pope died Saturday, August 16, 2008, in Pahrump, Nevada. Burial was under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma. She was born July 29, 1927, in Davidson, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Billie (Howerton) Wilson. She attended Davidson schools and graduated Davidson High School in 1945. She attended and graduated from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. After college, she made her home in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a dress designer and pattern maker for Ann Murray for over twenty years. In July of 2007, she moved to Nevada to be near her daughter. She is survived by her daughter: Gail Lewis, of Pahrump, Nevada; two granddaughters: Tammie Orth and Tanya Garcia, both of Phoenix, Arizona; and four great grandchildren.
