Funeral service for S. Sally Swann, age 79, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009, at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Morey, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Swann passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at her home. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home. Sally was born on April 6, 1930, in Sweethome, Texas, to Santos and Martina (Gutierrez) Olivarez. She grew up in Hollisville, Texas and Clovis, New Mexico. She married Novia M. Nunn and from this union three children, Bobby, Paul and Carolyn, were born. They moved to Tillman County in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1965. She married Buford Lee Swann on March 4, 1967, in Frederick, Oklahoma, and from this union one son, Charles, was born. She worked as a teacher's aide with the Frederick Public Schools for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Novia M. Nunn; four sisters: infant twin sisters who died at birth, Mary Olivarez, and Janie Coffey; and a brother: Jessie Olivarez Sanchez. She is survived by three sons: Bobby M. Nunn and wife Maricela, of Wichita Falls, Texas; Paul R. Nunn and wife Katy, of Vernon, Texas and Charles Swann and wife Jody, of Kiowa, Oklahoma; a daughter: Carolyn Gray and husband Charles, of Frederick, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
