Floice Ballard

The family of Floice "Sugar" Ballard, age 80, of Frederick, Oklahoma, received friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at the Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. Private family burial followed the visitation at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. Mr. Ballard passed away Monday, September 28, 2009, at his home in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was born on June 11, 1929, in Altus, Oklahoma, to George S. Ballard and Clara N. (Bridges) Ballard. He attended school in Frederick, Ok. He married L. Ernestine Kirkpatrick on June 19, 1948, in Vernon, Texas. He served in the National Guard and worked as as a mechanic in Frederick. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Floice Edgar Ballard; two brothers: Delbert and Leon Ballard; and three sisters: an infant girl, Patricia Sue Ballard and Maxine Hudspeth. He is survived by his wife Ernestine of the home, two sons: Dennis Ray Ballard, of Frederick Oklahoma and Larry Samuel Ballard, of Forney, Texas; one sister: Mary Hostak, of Frederick; three brothers: twin brother Troice, Doyal Clinton Ballard, both of Frederick, Oklahoma and Charlie Johnson Ballard, of Angleton, Texas: seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
