Theresa Gene Hinson

Funeral service for Theresa Gene Hinson, age 79, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 24, 2009 at the Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks, officiating. Mrs. Hinson passed away October 21, 2009 in Altus, Ok. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. Theresa Gene Hinson was born on August 8, 1930, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Alvin and Genevieve (Parks) Harper. She attended all 12 years of school in Frederick, where she graduated from high school in 1948. She married Leonard C. Hinson on August 14, 1948, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and helped in their farming business. She loved to sing and served as Junior Choir Director at the First Baptist Church for many years. She sang in various trios around the community. She volunteered on the Election Board polling precinct and helped with the Oklahoma Blood Institute Blood Mobile. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard on December 4, 1995; a special uncle: Claude Parks; and her grandmother: Della Parks, who helped raise her. She is survived by three daughters: Cheryl Kidd; Kevin Stevens and husband Kyle, all of Frederick, Oklahoma; and Lori Hinson and Kate Jobe, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four granddaughters: Callie Randall and husband Jason, of Arlington, Texas; Kaci Scott and husband John, of Norman, Oklahoma; Corrie Jones and husband Jarred, of Frederick, Oklahoma; Kati Stevens, of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren: Brayden Kinder, Cooper Randall, Hinson Scott, Chloe Randall, Jaxson Scott, Landri Jones and Seven Scott; aunt: Delcia Parks and cousins: Deborah Hubbard and Karen Parks.
