Carolyn Louise Robbins, age 65, of Cherokee, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, in an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, of Frederick, Oklahoma. A private family memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 28, 2009. She was born April 14, 1944, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, to Arvel Andrew and Mary Doris (Beaver) Robbins. She grew up and attended Cherokee schools. In 1965, she moved to Oklahoma City. She worked as a computer specialist for Union Carbide for 13 years. She returned to Cherokee in 1997. She was a member of the Cherokee First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and enjoyed playing hand bells. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: J. R. Robbins; and a sister: Virginia Anne Robbins. Survivors include a daughter: Sylvia Robbins, of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers: James Robbins and wife Jean, of Medford, Oklahoma, and Tim Robbins and wife Dorothy, of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren: Brittany Escobar and husband Luis, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Jeremiah Robbins, of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; one great grandchild: Aden Robbins, Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews including local niece Krista Reyes and husband Fabian, of Frederick, Oklahoma.
