Betty Jo Lane

Betty Jo (Hostetler) Lane, age 88, died Monday, November 14, 2009, in California. She was born August 31, 1921, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to William Corbett and Ola Mae (Gilbreth) Hostetler. She grew up and attended Frederick schools. She was united in marriage to C. Ben Lane on July 4, 1952, at Duncan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1973. Besides Frederick, she lived many years in Houston, Texas and spent the last several years in California with her son. She worked as an office manager for Allison Associates, AEA, architectural design for over 15 years and retiring in 1984. She was a Baptist. She was survived by her son: Larry Scott Lane, of Skyborne, California; step-daughter: Judith Kay Brousard, Henderson, North Carolina; grandchildren: William and Katherine Brousard, Kaki Murphy; and great grandchildren: Mathew and Brian Murphy. Inurnment in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery will be held at a later date.
