Balerie Jewel Mayberry

Funeral services for Balerie Mayberry, age 51, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the Friendship Baptist Church, 4th & Aster, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Samuel Mitchell, Jr., pastor, officiating. Balerie passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at an Army Medical Hospital, in El Paso, Texas. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, of Frederick, Oklahoma. She was born October 2, 1958, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Orel Sr. and Eddie Mae (Blackwell) Mayberry. She grew up and attended Frederick Schools and graduated in 1976. She graduated Cameron University with a bachelors of arts degree. She worked as a child care provider being self employed, employed by child youth services and working for schools, in early childhood. She lived in Frederick and Lawton, and then traveled and lived with her daughter, who is serving in the military, in Atlanta, Georgia, Colorado Springs, Colorado, St. Roberts, Missouri and El Paso, Texas. She was a Baptist, and had been attending church at God in Christ in El Paso, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Rodney Wayne, Ronny Joe and Orel Mayberry, Jr.; and a sister: Connie Mayberry Ellis. She is survived by a son: Torey Mayberry, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter: Erica Haywood and husband Eric, of El Paso, Texas; three brothers: Larry Randal Mayberry, of Wichita, Kansas, Tommy Carl Mayberry, of Inglewood, California, and Erick Lafronz Mayberry, of Lawton, Oklahoma; four sisters: Monique Yvonne Mayberry and Eddie Lavern Mayberry, both of Lawton, Oklahoma, Sharon D. Hatcher and Shelah S. May, both of California; five grandchildren: Toriell Simon, Derika Hill, Tyshawn Simon, Domonique Nuncio and Niyah Haywood.
