Jewell Clark

Funeral service for Jewell Maxine Clark, age 91, of Blum, Texas, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010, at the Burkhardt Chapel of the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Roland Behnke, pastor, Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Clark died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at a Whitney, Texas, nursing care center. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. She was born February 12, 1918, to Sidney Cornelius and Roberta (Oxford) Cornelius, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. She married Ross C. Clark September 9, 1972, in Petrolia, Texas. She was a retired assistant manager of a Credit Union. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Ricky Baker; three step-sons: Joe Clark, George Clark and Clifton Clark, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband: Ross C. Clark; one son: Calvin Baker; one stepson: Wilburn Clark; two stepdaughters: Jerrie Miller and Deborah Miller; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
