Funeral service for Patricia C. "Pat" Perry, age 77, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church, Frederick, with Rev. Eric Snyder and Rev. Les Banks, officiating. Mrs. Perry died Saturday, February 6, 2010, in a Lawton, Oklahoma, hospital. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery, Frederick, Oklahoma, under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. The family received friends on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born January 28, 1933, to John E. and Elizabeth (Cowan) Perkins. She attended Frederick schools and graduated from Altus High School in 1951. She attended Midwestern State College in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was united in marriage to Samuel Robert Emanuel on February 5, 1960. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1974. On January 28, 1988, she married Lon Perry. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2004. She worked at the Frederick Press Newspaper for 15 years and then worked for Crawford Abstract and Title Company for 35 years before her retirement. She played the piano and organ and was an avid music lover. She played the organ at the Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church for many years as well as playing and singing for weddings and funerals. She served as a volunteer at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of and held various offices for the Music Club, Philharmonic Club, Business Professionals Women Club, Eastern Star, Rebecca's, as well as numerous other philanthropic organizations. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Frederick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and one brother: John E. "Jack" Perkins. Survivors include two sons: Phil Emmanuel and Samuel Robert Emanuel II and wife Lori, all of Lawton, Oklahoma; a daughter: Beth Grant and husband Sonny, also of Lawton, Oklahoma; a step-daughter: Tara (Perry) Payne and husband Duane, of Victoria Texas; two brothers: Richard Perkins and wife Phyllis, of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Mike Perkins and wife Sarah, of Loveland, Colorado; four grandchildren: Josh Degan, Virginia Strong and husband Brandon, Trae Grant and wife Tiffany, and Brandy Clark and husband Quinton; and five great grandchildren: Rylee, Kaylee, Braedon, Brianna, and Baley.
