Lucille M. Rivera

Private funeral service for Lucille M. Rivera, age 89, of Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the Burkhardt Chapel of Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Les Banks, Frederick, Oklahoma, officiating. Mrs. Rivera passed away Friday, May 28, 2010, in Wichita Falls, Texas, in a nursing care facility. Private family burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma She was born on September 26, 1920 to John Medina and Gregoria (Ortiz) Medina, in Belton, Texas. She attended Wichita Falls, Texas schools until she had to quit and help take care of her sick father. She married Caine Eskamire in 1936 and he died in 1952. She later married John Luna and he died in 1981. On September 10, 1990, she married Evaristo Rivera at Vernon, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Caine Eskamire and John Luna; four sisters: Juanita Medina, Susie Medina, Julie Medina and Virginia Rico; and two brothers: Albert Medina and Louis Medina She is survived by her husband: Evaristo Rivera; three sons: Manuel Eskamire, of Wichita Falls, Texas; Kenny Eskamire, and his wife, Leah, of Seymour, Texas; and Raymond Luna, of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters: Frances Hampton, and her husband, John, of Frederick, Oklahoma and Juanita Stapleton, and her husband, Trent Thompson, of Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother: Ernest Medina; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
