Jerry Lavon "Jody" Wolfe went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 10, 2010. He died at his home in Hollis, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years, one month and 17 days. He was born on April 24, 1950, to Balam and Virgie Pauline (Looney) Wolfe at home out on Otter Creek, north of Tipton. He attended Tipton Public Schools. He married Winona Ball December 19, 1970, at the First Baptist Church, in Tipton, Oklahoma. He was a retired diesel engine mechanic. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton, Oklahoma, but had recently joined the Church of Nazarene, Dodson, Texas He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Don Wolfe and Keith Wolfe. He is survived by his wife: Winona, of the home; three sons: Micheal Wolfe, and his wife, Jennifer, of Tipton, Oklahoma; Jerry David, of Graham, Texas; and Garry David, and his wife, Haven, of Vernon, Texas; three daughters: Sharon James, and her husband, Darrell, of Hollis, Oklahoma; Terri Timmons, and her husband, Tim, of Hollis, Oklahoma; and Lori Horton, and her husband, Kelly, of Hollis, Oklahoma; two brothers: Lester Wolfe, and his wife, Sherry, of Sulphur, Oklahoma ; and Steve Wolfe, and his wife, Deb, of Pratt, Kansas; two sisters: Mary Russell, and her husband Tommy, of Tipton, Oklahoma; and Charlotte LaFountain, and her husband, Jack, of Tipton, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law: Carol Barnes; Carol Wolfe; and Linda Ball; twenty-three grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
