Ross C Clark

Funeral service for Ross C. Clark, Sr., age 92, of Blum, Texas, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at the Burkhardt Chapel of the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Roland Behnke, pastor, Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Clark died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at a Whitney, Texas nursing care center. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. He was born August 31, 1917, to William Van and Alpha Gertrude (Perkins) Clark, in Duster, Texas. He served honorably in the United States Army during WW II, receiving the World War II Victory Medal. He married Jewell M. Clark September 9, 1972, in Petrolia, Texas. He was a retired machine operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sons: Joe Clark, George Clark and Clifton Clark; one stepson: Ricky Baker; three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by one son: Wilburn Clark; two daughters: Jerrie Miller and Deborah Miller; one stepson: Calvin Baker; one sister: Charlene DuPree; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
