Frank Davila

He was born on February 12, 1928 to Nicholas and Maria (Longoria) Davila, in Laguna Seca, Texas. He attended school in Brewster until he went to work to help support his family. He worked as a farm laborer for Freeland Brothers, Johnnie Carpenter and Payton Sherman. He lost his eyesight in 1959 and borrowed an accordion and learned to play by sound and became a musician until his retirement in 1984. He married Mary Louise Lopez September 10, 1955, at St. Helen's Catholic Church. He attended St. Helen's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1992; two sons: Frank Davila, Jr. in 1974; and Danny Davila in 1983; and one sister: Margaret Fletcher in 2000. He is survived by two sons: David Davila, of Edinburg, Texas; and Victor Davila, and his wife, Carla, of Frederick, Oklahoma; two daughters: Margaret Anna Garcia, of Sacramento, California; and Dora Jean Gomez, and her husband, Manuel, of Mansfield, Texas; one half-brother: Evaristo Rivera, of Wichita Falls, Texas; 14 grandchildren: Marie Nichol Clark; Tara Beth Gomez; Victory Anthony Davila, and his wife, Erika; Shannon Dale Davila, and his wife, Cindy; Victoria Anna Davila; Angelo Curtis Garcia; Alex Garcia; Christopher Daniel Davila, and his wife, Jamie; David Davila, Jr. and his wife, Isabell; Martin Jr. Mendoza; Jennifer Mendoza; Claudia Marisol Davila, and her husband, Joel; Servando Davila, and his wife, Veronica; and Laura Saenz, and her husband, Joe; 26 great grandchildren: Cory Davila; Dalton Davila; Cole Davila; Mallory Davila; Isaac Mendoza; Mercade Mendoza; Kaybrie Mendoza; Garrett Clark; Nicholas Clark; Isiah Alvear; Ashlyn Alvear; Vincent Avila; Alissia Garcia; Ceazar Garcia; Tony Davila; Celieda Davila; Katlyn Davila; Katlyn Smith; David Jr. Davila III; Guadalupe Davila; Parina Davila; Clarissa Davila; Nathan Davila; Angel Davila; Leilani Saenz; and Ixtiana Saenz
