He was born on September 30, 1943 to Joe Dee and Helen Marie (Bandy) Cozart, in Frederick, Oklahoma. He attended Manitou School until 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He returned to Manitou and worked at Brantly Helicopter. In 1964 he moved to Fort Worth, Texas and worked at General Dynamics from 1966 to 1971. He then entered the sales profession in 1976. He married Gladys Maurine Martin on May 2, 1980 at Fort Worth, Texas. He then worked at various companies and then retired from Kelly Springfield Tire and Rubber as a territory sales representative in 1995. He drove a school bus for Arlington, Texas ISD for five years; then he retired and moved to Frederick in 2001. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Manitou. He was involved and active in various organizations including the Manitou Alumni Association and the U. S. Army 82nd Combat Engineers where he constructed and maintained both organizations' websites. He is survived by his loving wife: Maurine Cozart, of the home; four children: Cheryl and husband Gary Sargent, of Mansfield, Texas; Carla Keller, of Haltom City, Texas; Lance and wife Melisa Crook, of Crowley, Texas; and Carmen Stone-Ritter, of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother: Rick Cozart, of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
