Pearly Deverol (Dee) Walker

Pearly Deverol (Dee) Walker passed away Saturday evening, February 5, 2011, at the Hospice House of Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 71 years. She was born November 23, 1939, in Atoka County, Oklahoma, to Luther and Ethel (Long) Riley. She grew up and attended school in Wapanucka, Oklahoma. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist for 25 years plus in Dallas, Lawton, Altus and Frederick. She owned and operated Towneast Salon in Frederick. She was united in marriage to Ron Walker on March 31, 1984, at the Bible Baptist Church in Frederick, with the Reverend Vernon Floyd officiating. She served faithfully right beside her husband in the United States Air Force for 27 years as they were stationed at numerous bases to include: Panama, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, Illinois and Texas. She loved her grandchildren, her pets and reading mystery novels. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Rhonda Ware; five brothers: Marvin Matthew, Jesse Matthew, Melvin Matthew, Edd Matthew, and Royce Riley; and a sister: Jewel Cox. Survivors include her husband: Ron Walker, Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Texas; three daughters: Deborah Delgado and husband Cesar, of Georgetown, Texas, Charlotte Newton and husband Michael, of Del City, Oklahoma, and Laura Atteberry and husband James, of Tipton, Oklahoma; one son: Kevin Beal and wife Rhonda, of Reno, Nevada; two brothers: Herman Riley, Frederick, Oklahoma and Larry Riley, of Thailand; five sisters: Lorene Bates, Frederick, Oklahoma, Ginger Taylor and husband Ken, of Cold Springs, Oklahoma, Marie Montgomery, Roosevelt, Oklahoma, Glenda Dyer, Grandfield, Oklahoma, and Barbara Combs and husband Donnie, of Frederick, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the facility and staff of the Hospice House of Wichita Falls for their loving care and kindness.
