Dale Hogue went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the age of 73 years, 4 months, and 11 days. He was born on December 22, 1937, to Lesley Lee and Eva Elizabeth (Fisher) Hogue, in Shattuck, Oklahoma. He graduated from Manitou High School in 1957. He then attended Oklahoma State University Technical School and graduated as a diesel mechanic in 1959. He married Chessie Morrow on November 20, 1959, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They moved to Farmington, New Mexico and Dale worked for Halliburton as a diesel mechanic until he enlisted in the United States Army in September 1961. He served in Korea for 18 months in 1961 until 1962. He was honorably discharged in September 1963. He worked for Cummins Diesel, Oklahoma City, from 1963 until 1973. He then went to work for Thompson Diesel, Oklahoma City, until 1978. The family moved to Davidson in 1978, and he started his business, Red River Diesel, in Frederick. He loved motorcycles, Cajun food and church hymns. He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents: John and Ruby Fisher, his paternal grandparents: Henry Lesley and Rosa Lee Hogue; and his best friend: James Loveless. He is survived by his wife: Chessie Hogue, of the home; two sons: Marty Hogue and wife Debbie, of Okarche, OK, Scott Hogue and wife Brenda, of Manitou, OK; three grandchildren: Bekah Hogue and Brian Hogue, of Okarche, OK, and Britney Hogue, of El Reno, OK; one great grandchild: Malaki Hogue; one sister: Ruby Hassell and husband Gene, of Lewisville, TX; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
