Alvie Lee Romines

He was born on March 30, 1942 to Henry and Ophelia "O.V." (Reeves) Romines, in Tipton,Oklahoma. He grew up in Tipton, Oklahoma and attended school there. He worked as a bus driver and mechanic for the Tipton Schools for 16 years before retiring. He loved to restore old cars, enjoyed played dominoes at the Tipton Senior Citizens Center with his friends, and loved to hunt and fish. He married Doris Janell Cryer on May 19, 1962. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters: Eva Talley, Wilma Couthran, and Wanda Fowler. He is survived by his wife: Doris, of the home; two daughters: Cindy Ervin and her husband Mel, of Beaumont, Texas, and Lisa Ratley, of Tipton, Oklahoma; one sister: Loveta Pidque and her husband Melvin, of Wapanucka, Oklahoma; one granddaughter: Mandy Ervin and her companion Jessie Mendoza, of Austin, Texas; three grandsons: Derek Dority and wife Kandus, of Tipton, Oklahoma, Jared Ervin and wife Emily, of Beaumont, Texas, and Blake Merritt and wife Priscilla, of Tipton, Oklahoma; one great granddaughter: Paisley Merritt; two great grandsons: Bradley Dority and Braiden Dority; and a host of loving family and friends.
