Dolores Christina Muirhead

Dolores Christina Muirhead went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2011. She died at Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 80 years, eight months and 27 days. She was born on October 17, 1930, to Benjamin and Gladys (Poole) Schreiner, in Chattanooga, Oklahoma. She graduated from Manitou High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Hugh E. Muirhead on November 9, 1956, in Beaverton, Oregon. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Steven Zolar for over 17 years, and then for the Department of Human Services for 10 years until her retirement in 1996. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star #203. She served as a volunteer for the Hospice of Wichita Falls. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Hugh Muirhead; and one sister: Mary Ann Hunt. She is survived by three sons: Michael Muirhead and wife Tammie, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Randy Muirhead and wife Deena, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Rodney Muirhead and wife Kim Teeter, of Houston, Texas; one sister: Donna Claybrook, of Vernon, Texas; six grandchildren: Jordan Muirhead, Hannah Muirhead, Jacob Muirhead, Matthew Muirhead, Lauren Moore and Paige Rask; four nieces: Susan Hunt Eickbush, Sharon Hunt Rinker, Amy Claybrook and Christi Wofford; five great nephews; and one great niece.
