Annie Mae Davis

Annie Mae Davis went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2011. She died in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years, two months and 18 days. She was born June 22, 1919, in Corsicana, Texas, to Rayfield and Willie Mae (Johnson) Davis. She attended school in Frederick and graduated from Boyd High School. She attended college and graduated from Langston University. She served as a Missionary in the community, churches as well as prisons. Annie Mae was a dedicated Christian and a faithful servant in her community. She loved her church and her church family. She will always be loved and not forgotten. She was a member for over fifty years of the First Baptist Missionary Church, in Frederick. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Eddie Ray Davis; and a sister: Ollie Leopard. She leaves to mourn, her sister: Hattie Pearl Young, of Los Angeles, California, whom she loved dearly. They were very close and stayed in contact with each other. Survivors also include nieces: Frances Marchan Young, Los Angeles, California, Gale Denise Davis, Moreno Valley, California, and Stephanie Elaine Davis, Las Vegas, Nevada; nephews: Marrel "Butch" Young, Los Angeles, California, and Gregory Allen Davis, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a host of cousins, great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
