Richard Harrison

Richard Dale Harrison went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2011. He died in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of 44 years, two months and 13 days. He was born August 30, 1967 to Harold Joe and Lois Marie (Drake) Harrison, in Frederick, Oklahoma. He attended Frederick High School and graduated with the Class of 1985. He also attended Cameron University. He formed a partnership with his Grandpa Herb until the time of his death. He moved to Florida to be close to his brother until his best friend, Jeff Thorton lost his Grandpa and he returned to Grandfield to help Jeff with his farming operation, but the sunny beaches called him back to Florida where he met and fell in love with Kim Brasher. He was currently the department manager at a Fresh Market Grocery Store in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Even though he wasn't an Okie anymore, he still loved his Sooners. He decorated his home with everything OU and forced his new friends to like them also. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Buddy Lee Drake, Thursie Mae and Herbert Watson, and Ollie and Leonard Dale (Doc) Harrison. He is survived by: his companion: Kim Brasher, of St. Petersburg, FL; his parents: Lois and Leon Matlock, of Anadarko, OK, and Joe Harrison, of Altus, OK; two brothers: Mike Harrison and wife Lorraine, of Plant City, FL, and Jess Matlock and wife Latisha, of Cement, OK; two sisters: Kelley McGlothlin and husband Ritchie, of Anadarko, OK, and Kim Reed and husband Jake, of Anadarko, OK; aunts and uncles: Joyce and Ted Cline, of Marlow, OK, Jim and Linda Harrison, of Tampa, FL, Judy and Bud Duke, of Altus, OK, Jef Harrison, of Altus, OK, and Karen Harrison, of Altus, OK; two nieces: Tina and Crystal Johnson, of Tampa, FL; cousins: Rob Harrison and wife JoAnn, of Orlando, FL, Terry Cline, of Grapevine, TX, Pam Seymour of husband Russell, of Marlow, OK, April Vansdal and husband Jody, of Stillwater, OK, Micki White, of Stillwater, OK, and Jason Harrison, of Altus, OK; and extended family and friends.
