Viola Britt

Vera Viola Glenn Britt went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. She passed away at Altus, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 20 days. She was born on January 23, 1931, to Nuel Ollie and Lillie Maud (Whitson) Rich, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She attended Wynnewood Schools. She married James Darwin (Donnie) Glenn on August 2, 1952, at Vernon, Texas. She worked at Betsy Bra Factory, Pioneer Manor Nursing Home as a cook, and Willene's Drive In, in Tipton. She later married Bedford B. Britt on March 3, 1990, in Tipton. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: James Rich; one sister: Linda Sargent; both husbands: Donnie Glenn and Bedford Britt; and one great granddaughter: Emma Kirk. She is survived by three sons: Darwin Glenn, of Henrietta, TX, Gary Glenn, of Tipton, and Marlin Glenn, of Altus; three daughters: Anita Kirk and Beverly Holman, both of Tipton, and Sheila Arnold, of Oklahoma City; three sisters: Rozelma Glenn, of Tipton, and Margaret and Mary Rich, of Tipton; one brother: Doug Rich, of Altus; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
