Lilia Williams

June 15, 1969 — April 17, 2013

Lilia (Garcia) Williams went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. She died in Oklahoma City at the age of 43 years, 10 months and 2 days. She was born on June 15, 1969, to Luis and Marta (Perez) Garcia, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She attended Frederick Public Schools and graduated from Frederick High School in 1987 in the top ten of her class. Born with a rare disease, Lilia was robbed of her sight by the age of 18. However, this did not deter her from seeking accomplishments in her short, but abundant life. Lilia had received specialized training for the visually impaired to help with job training and independent living in Boston. She was employed by Beacon Lighthouse in Wichita Falls, Texas, for ten years and she was awarded "Employee of the Year". It was at her employment that she met her future husband and shared happy memories. She married Wayne Williams on December 20, 2005, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She exhibited humility by thinking of others first which made her the most sincere, kind, patient, loyal, giving and loving woman for those that knew her. We grieve for the loss of our sweetest spouse, daughter, and sister, but rejoice for her as she is now in Heaven with our precious Lord. Though we grieve for Lilia and the many challenges she faced in her life on earth, we now rejoice that she can now see the true beauty of the world beyond. She was a member of Catholic faith. She is survived by her husband: Wayne Williams, of the home in Wichita Falls, Texas; her parents: Luis and Marta Garcia, of Frederick, her brother: Jesse Garcia, of Edmond; and extended family in Mexico.
