Ruby Hughes

Ruby Christine Hughes went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 3, 2014. She died in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years, seven months and one day. She was born June 2, 1918 to Albert and Margrett (Parker) Owens in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She grew up and attended school in Tahlequah. She was united in marriage to Clarence Hughes on July 11, 1936, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and also worked for many years at Centra Leather Goods in Frederick. She was a life-long member of the Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on November 18, 2000; four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by three sons: Tommy Hughes and wife Joy, of Bedford, Texas, Don Hughes and wife Caroline, of North Richland Hills, Texas; Galen Hughes and wife Jodie of Frederick, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
