Trinidad Corrales

Trinidad Corrales went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He passed away at Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 4 days. He was born May 29, 1926, in Barrington, Texas, to Juan M. and Agrelia (Hernandez) Corrales. He moved to Colorado at an early age with his family. He was united in marriage to Amparo "Peggy" Hernandez on November 1, 1947, at Fort Morgan, Colorado. They moved to Frederick and she preceded him in death on April 3, 1983. He married Josie (Flores) Hicks on July 26, 1986, in Frederick at Primera Iglesia Bautista. He worked on the Rail Road, Hines Factory, General Motors, Alcaers Feed Lot and then for K & T Farm and Ranch for 35 years before retiring. After initially retiring from farming/ranching, he worked for Brink Auction. He enjoyed people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed cooking. He loved spending time with family, friends and his "Cow Dog". He was a member and deacon of Primera Iglesia Bautista. He had a passion for and was active in prison ministry. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Maria Romero, Margie Zapata, and Petra Bailey; and one brother: Paul R. Corrales. Survivors include his wife: Josie Corrales, of the home; eight sons: Trinidad Corrales, Jr. and wife Sheree, of Cleburne, TX, David Corrales, of Altus, OK, Daniel Corrales and wife Linda, Juan Corrales, Raymond Corrales, Paul Corrales, Jimmy Hicks, all of Wichita Falls, TX, and Gary Hicks and wife Kristi, of Palestine, TX; six daughters: Elvira Corrales, of San Antonio, TX, Rosa Villeda, Grace Martinez, Lisa Corrales and Ruben Alvarado, all of Wichita Falls, TX, JoAnna O'Neill, of Houston, TX, and Linda Haston and husband Danny, of Frederick, OK; one sister: Braulia Ruiz, of Weldona, CO; 49 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
