Helen Bernice (Edwards) Brown went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She passed from this life at Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years, one month and eight days. She was born October 25, 1931, at Anna, Texas, to John Melvin and Hettie (Rogers) Edwards. She attended and graduated Valedictorian from Plainview High School Class of 1949, at Boise City, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Charlie Batson Brown on December 10, 1962, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1991. She worked as the assistant manager of the Frederick Dairy Queen. She was a fantastic cook and loved to cook for her family and friends. She always had a smile and kind words for whoever she met. She was a member of the Tesca Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her step-dad: Lee Edwards; siblings: Pete Murphy and wife Marie, Marie Dill, Johnny Murphy, Betty Marshall, Charles Edwards and wife Shirley. Survivors include two daughters: Debra Gerhart and husband Joe, of Riverview, Florida, and Sandra Calhoun, of Frederick, Oklahoma; a step-son: Homer Brown, Lubbock, Texas; a sister: Sharon Kaye Bliss, of Prue, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Louis Watson-Rust and wife Kate, Michelle Lyle and husband James, and Douglas McAbee and wife Jennifer; nine great grandchildren: Krystal Watson, Kayla Springs, Emily Hamilton, Zoe Rust, Alexis Lyle, Zackery Rust, Paige Rust, Matthew Lyle and Colton Lyle; two brothers-in-law: Bill Dill and Wesley Marshall; and a sister-in-law: Frankie Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
