Burgin McFall

Burgin McFall went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He died in Altus, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years, 10 months, and 13 days He was born March 21, 1922,in Hollister, Oklahoma, to Ode and Mae (Burgin) McFall. He grew up and attended Hollister schools, graduating from Hollister High School. He started farming at 16 years of age. He became a member of the Hollister Methodist Church at age 12 and was song leader in that church for 24 years. He taught Sunday School Classes in Hollister Methodist Church and in Frederick Methodist Church for a total of 30 years. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Lou "Jackie" Ross on July 13, 1941. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2003. Burgin had charge of the youth program in the church at Hollister for several years. Then he helped Ray and Eunice Duffy with the youth at the Frederick church for several years. He was elected to the Farmers Coop Board of Directors in 1966 and served until 1988. He served on the FMHA board for six years. While on that board, he helped get funding for the Rural Water District. He served on the Hollister School Board for eleven years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frederick, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, son Steve, and wife Jackie. Survivors include a son: Phil McFall and wife Judy of St. Joseph, Missouri; grandsons: Jeff McFall and wife Lisa of Arlington, Texas; Todd McFall and wife Kathy, and Marc McFall and wife Paula of Parkville, Missouri; Tom McFall and Jake McFall and Jamie McFall and wife Barbara of Vernon, Texas; and Jason McFall and wife Kim of Sugarland, Texas; and great grandchildren: Grace, Megan, Emma, Madelyn, Wesley, Quade, Dylan, Journey, Kylie, and Stevie.
