Wesley Marshall

            Wesley Marshall went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2016. He passed away at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years and six days. He was born March 12, 1937, at Lehigh (near Coalgate), Oklahoma, to Leon and Violet (McKinney) Marshall. At an early age, his family moved to southwest Oklahoma. He attended school at Davidson. He was united in marriage to Betty Murphy on December 31, 1952. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2006. Wesley worked for 52 years in highway construction as a General Superintendent for several different companies. He also worked for Tillman County District 1 (Tipton). Wesley answered God’s call on his life in ministry some 25 years ago, when he was ordained in the Assemblies of God Church. He had been a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church while living in Frederick. He was united in marriage to Frankie (Neely) Murphy on May 10, 2006, in Lawton, Oklahoma. They moved to Oklahoma City metro area in 2007 as he was called to be the pastor of Faith Victory Fellowship in El Reno. He retired briefly and was then recalled to serve as senior pastor for Faith Victory, a capacity he served in at the time of his death. He loved to preach the Gospel and fish.             In addition to his parents and his wife Betty, he was preceded in death by a sister: Fern Hogan.             Survivors include his wife Frankie Marshall, of the home in Yukon, Oklahoma; four sons: Jim Marshall and wife Edna, of Sumter, South Carolina, Jeff Marshall and wife Donna, of Enid, Oklahoma, Jack Marshall and wife Debbie, also of Enid, Oklahoma, and Martin Murphy and wife Trisha, of Walters, Oklahoma; two brothers: Richard Marshall and wife Ann, of Davidson, Oklahoma, and Eldon Marshall, of Ada, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home(580) 335-2112
