Carol Griffith

       Carol Griffith went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2016. She passed away at her home in Frederick surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 73 years, five months and 12 days. She was born May 19, 1943, in Coleman, Texas, to Cecil and Myrtle (Reed) Eppler. She graduated from Vernon High School in 1961, where she shared her beautiful voice in the Acapella Choir. She worked various jobs raising her three children. One of her greatest personal accomplishments was obtaining her insurance and securities license and opening her own office in Wichita Falls. She was united in marriage to Bobby Lee “Bob” Griffith on January 27, 1979, at Altus, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Frederick. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls and woodworking. Nothing compares to the joy she received from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family meant everything to her.      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bob Griffith, on December 26, 2008; and three sisters: Betty Jean, Clorando and Ernestine.             She is survived by a son: Ronald Keith Thomas; and two daughters: Sandie Cotten and husband Tommy, and Penny Newman and husband Tracy, all of Frederick, Oklahoma; three sisters: Johnie Baldwin, Dale Thomas and husband Mervin, and Cecilene Krebs and husband Ken, all of Vernon, Texas; her very best friend: Linda Winegar and husband Harvey, of Cleveland, Texas; seven grandchildren: Amanda Blankenship and husband Dusty, Katie Stultz and husband Rob, Brandon Cotten and wife Keli, Blake Cotten, Abby Flores and husband Trevor, Christian Thomas, all of Frederick, and Emily Thomas, of Cave Junction, Oregon; eleven great grandchildren: Maggie, Dyson, Zoe, Evan, Owen, Caroline, Kalynn, Alexander, Marlee, Brody and MaKenna.Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home111 N. 11th StreetFrederick, OK 73542(580) 335-2112
