Nadine Cosgrove

Nadine L. (Grubbs) Cosgrove went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2016. She passed away in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 19 days. She was born December 6, 1925, to Alcy C. and Fannie Leenora (Paxton) Grubbs, in Jester, Oklahoma. She grew up in Jester and graduated from Eastview School in Brinkman, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Harold Neal Cosgrove in Davidson, Oklahoma. He was a World War II veteran. He passed away on September 26, 1966. She went to work for Southwestern States Telephone Company in 1948. It later became Southwestern Telephone Company and then GTE, upon her retirement in May 1986. Nadine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and received her 50 year pin in 2007. She was also a member of the Red River Traveling Tollers as well as serving as Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was U.M.W. Chairperson for the Funeral Dinners as well as serving with Rebekah and Priscilla Groups through the years. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Hal Dean Cosgrove on December 31, 2001; five sisters: Arlena Avery, Avis Holland, Alberta Grubbs, Daisy Jordan and Mary Belle Parker; and four brothers: John Grubbs, Quinten Grubbs, Herman Grubbs, and Orville “Bud” Grubbs. Survivors include a daughter: Pamela Sue Coindreau, of Faxon, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Virginia Coindreau, Sam Coindreau and Erin Cosgrove Neugebauer; and three great grandchildren: Carlie Smith, Ty Neugebauer and Lydia Streeter.
